Renstore.com Photo Contest Rules

1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You must be a Renstore.com member to enter (it's free to be a member).
2. Since Renstore.com is a family-friendly site, we reserve the right to reject unsuitable or pornographic images. Unsuitable images include exploitive or excessivley violent content.
3. Photos will be judged on how well the content expresses the contest theme, technical excellence, originality, artistic creativity, and a mastery of the tools.
4. Winning photos will be posted on the website within one month of the end of the contest. Although exceptions can be made to this rule, only one photo per participant may place as a winner. All decisions of the judges are final.
5. Before being awarded their prize, contest winners will be required to sign a legal affidavit indicating that they, in fact, own legal copyright, and that they have written releases for any recognizable locations and people appearing in the photograph.
6. Renstore.com will attempt to contact prize winners by e-mail. If the winner does not respond to our e-mail and claim the prize within 10 days, the prize will be forfeited.
7. Renstore.com reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value to the advertised prizes should these become unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. Prizes are not redeemable for cash value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state or local taxes, tariffs or import duty fees.
8. This sweepstakes is open to residents of the United States only, age 18 or older, except for employees of Chivalry Sports Renaissance Store and their affiliates, subsidiaries, respective advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies (collectively, the "sponsors"), and the immediate families of each (including mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, or spouse), regardless of where they live; or, persons residing in the same household, whether related or not. Sweepstakes void in any countries other than The United States of America, and where prohibited by law. Sweepstakes subject to federal, state, and local laws.
9. The sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to modify these rules or cancel the contest at any time.
10. A list of winners is available upon request.

Public Viewing & Granting of Limited Rights

11. Be aware that, if chosen, your photo will be displayed to the public. Your image may be included in the Renstore.com blog, articles, or in other areas of the web site.
12. By uploading, you are allowing Renstore.com to publish the photo on our Web site or in other electronic promotional materials. If we ever consider publishing your photo in any print media, we will contact you first for permission.

Copyright

13. Copyright of the image remains the property of the photographer. A photo credit with copyright symbol will be provided under your image.
14. All image rights must belong to the person entering the contest.

Model and Property Release

15. Entrant acknowledges that they have sufficient written permission of any recognizable locations or people appearing in the photograph to be able to grant to Renstore.com the right to publish their photographic submission online, and hereby grant to Renstore.com.com such right.

    Specific Contest Rules for Romantic Couple Photo Contest

17. Deadline: All entries must be received at the Renstore.com Website by midnight February 28, 2008. Mailed entries are not accepted. Renstore.com will not be held responsible for mailed slides, negatives, or prints.
18. Format: Entries must photographs, not videos, and must be submitted in digital form (.jpg, .tif, .bmp, .eps) via e-mail. You may submit images taken with a digital camera or images taken with a film-based camera and scanned into digital format.
19. Size: Photos must be at least 400 by 600 pixels (or 600 by 400 pixels), and submitted entries must not exceed 4MB in file size.
20. Alterations: Photos may be touched-up, cropped, reduced, sharpened, color-corrected, and otherwise altered in Photoshop or other photo manipulation programs. By entering the contest you allow Renstore.com to alter the photograph to fit our format, i.e. to crop, reduce, enlarge, remove backgrounds, etc., as needed.
21. The entrant acknowleges that should the entry win any prize, the value of that prize is sufficent to cover the value of using the picture in promoting Renstore.com in any way that the company sees fit other than for directly selling merchandise.

INSTRUCTIONS: Please, fill in the information in the form and click submit. This will open a plain text e-mail from you to us that includes a filled in form. Please attach your photo entry to the email before sending.

If the form information doesn't show up in the body of your email or it doesn't open an email window at all, just open your normal email program, copy and paste the completed form from this page to a new e-mail, attach your photo entry, and send to photocontest@renstore.com with the subject line, Romantic Photo Contest Entry.
